Sigma Brushes

I couldn't resist and splurged on these Sigma brushes with the brush kit roll. I decided to use my pink brushes set as for traveling and use the Sigma brushes for daily base. I haven't tried the brushes yet though, because I'm too lazy to clean them. I need to pick up a brush cleaner bottle, I heard that MAC brush cleaner cleans the brushes well. Will give you a review whenever I use them and have a wonderful and safe New Year everyone!

1930's Era - Color Version

Here's the color version of the makeover that I did. I used light make up colors for my eyes, blush and lip. I do not want to put too much color, I really like the light and soft look.

Here is what I did with my face:

  1. Clean face and moisturize - I used Neutrogena Healthy Defense SPF 30 Daily Moisturizer
  2. I applied liquid foundation & concealer - Clinque Superbalanced Makeup Foundation / Clinque All About Eyes Concealer
  3. After finishing apply foundation & concealer, I also used Cargo Powder Foundation to give the final finish.
  4. For my eyes, lips and blush - I used Too Faced Glamour To Go 2 Pocket Palette
  5. Finish you eyes with eyeliner - I used Styli-Style Flat Pencil New York 401

In my next post I will post about what is in my makeup bag. Hope you enjoy this mini tutorial.

1930’s Era Look

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time. I wish that there was a time machine where we can experience the different times of Eras. I personally like the 1930's Era, especially the fashion, make up and hairstyle. Here is a make over of myself in the 1930's doing the hairstyle and the make up. Don't laugh I did my best, some people said, it reminds them of watching the movie called Lust Caution. I never watched the movie, but after that they mention it, I would want to watch it because I really like this time period. It just has this romanticism that I'm urging for.

What I did with my hair was curling it and wrapping into circular motion and then pinning it tightly.

Here's a tutorial video from AzaleaTempestDesigns:
  1. 1930s Authentic Wet Set Pin Curl Finger Waves Pt. 1
  2. 1930s Authentic Wet Set Pin Curl Finger Waves Pt. 2
I let my hair pinned up for almost 3 hours to get curly waves. My hair is short, so using a curling iron doesn't work for me. Then I added the final touches with with some make up. I will show you the color version in my next post and explain more in depths of what I used for my eyes, face, and lip.

P.S: Lets do a make-over game. If you were to choose which eras you like, which time would you choose? You can do any eras you like and please post a picture of yourself with the hairstyle and make up.

Sephora Perfect Ten Brush Set

I finally got the chance to use my brushes that I got from Sephora and it makes a whole new difference. The brushes that I got are able to pick up the pigments of eye shadows and cheeks that I use. Although I'm trying to look for matte shadows than shimmering eye shadows. Majority of my eyes shadows I have so far are too shimmery me, so it was hard for my eye shadow colors to really stand out, however I give these brushes an A+++

The brushes are not too hard on my face, I really like the soft textures that run through my face. Overall after using these brushes it gives me a more natural and soft look.
